BEGIN WITH CURIOSITY
Get to know the four modalities
Explore each system at your own pace. Here, these traditions are offered as symbolic lenses for reflection; your own experience remains your guide.
What is Astrology?
Astrology is a symbolic tradition that interprets the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets in relation to life on Earth.
Your personal map
Your birth chart places those bodies at the moment you arrived. The Sun is interpreted through identity and expression, the Moon through emotional life, and the Rising sign through how you meet the world. Birth time and place matter for the Rising sign and houses.
The shared sky and calendar
Current placements describe the shared sky. Your birth chart stays fixed, while transits describe where the bodies are now. Their meanings are reflective interpretations, separate from the astronomical calculations that locate them.
Return to the four cards →What is Human Design?
Human Design is a modern system for self-reflection that combines several symbolic traditions in a diagram called a BodyGraph, calculated from birth details.
Your personal map
Type describes a broad way of engaging with life within this system. Authority offers a lens for reflecting on decisions. Profile combines two numbered lines associated with ways of experiencing and relating to life. These are invitations to explore your experience, rather than rules you must follow.
The shared sky and calendar
A current transit highlights gates associated with the sky now. A gate is one of 64 symbolic themes; a line is one of its six expressions. A collective gate is different from your personal Type, Authority or Profile.
Return to the four cards →What is Chinese Zodiac?
The Chinese Zodiac is a traditional calendar-based system connecting twelve animal signs with five elements and yin/yang qualities in a sixty-year cycle.
Your personal map
Here, your birth date identifies your birth-year animal and element using the lunar-year boundary. The year changes at Lunar New Year, rather than January 1. These traditional associations offer qualities to reflect on, while your lived experience remains your own.
The shared sky and calendar
The current year has its own animal and element. The year shown on the landing page belongs to the shared calendar; your personal birth-year sign remains the same.
Return to the four cards →What is Numerology?
Numerology assigns symbolic meaning to numbers. Cosmic Identity uses date-based calculations as prompts for reflection on direction, expression and experience.
Your personal map
Your Life Path is calculated from your birth date. It stays connected to that date and offers a personal theme to explore. It is distinct from the number associated with today’s calendar date.
The shared sky and calendar
The Universal Day is calculated from the current calendar date and offers a shared daily theme. A new date brings a new Universal Day; it does not change your Life Path or determine what must happen.
